While I was working the polls over the weekend before election day, we had an elementary teacher come in during a lull. She wanted to show her students how the voting process worked. Unfortunately, videos/photos aren’t allowed inside the polling place, but we had a whole system for allowing people to vote outside the polls this year (to accommodate anti-maskers, and those who weren’t comfortable going indoors).
She took a video where one of our poll workers walked her through an example of the process, complete with sample ballots in multiple languages, a look at our new ADA voting machine, and (of course) an “I voted” sticker. 🙂 It was so fun to see how enthusiastic she was.
